Kelly Kress is a registered patent attorney.  Her practice includes all areas of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patents.  Kelly also has a wide range of experience in litigating various civil disputes.

REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGMENTS
  • Represented various manufacturers of oil and gas and underground construction equipment in preparing and prosecuting patents, developing their patent portfolios, and assisting in various disputes
  • Drafted and successfully prosecuted patents for a wide range of technology, including medical devices and equipment, above and below ground oil and gas equipment, construction equipment, locating and tracking equipment, and consumer products
  • Successfully argued the patentability of numerous inventions to the United States Patent and Trademark Appeal Board
  • Negotiated and closed multiple multi-million-dollar patent license deals between various oil and gas companies
  • Acquired trademarks and copyrights for a variety of clients
  • Represented construction equipment manufacturer as plaintiff in patent infringement litigation involving mechanical technology
  • Consulted on numerous patent infringement litigations involving oil and gas equipment
  • Drafted numerous invalidity and non-infringement opinions related to a wide range of technology
  • Defended various oil and gas and construction companies in personal injury and business disputes
